Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Ed Resource Teacher to join our team in Covington, GA, for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student s needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
  • Valid state certification in Special Education.
  • Proven experience as a Special Ed Teacher or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and diverse student needs.
