Blazerworks, a prominent educational staffing agency, is seeking dedicated and experienced School Psychologists to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and social-emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with autism.
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support students' social and emotional well-being.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to address challenging behaviors.
- Support the development and implementation of positive behavior support strategies within the school environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate interventions and accommodations for students.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and provide recommendations for effective behavior management strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations regarding students' psychological needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing evaluation to inform intervention strategies and goals.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Arizona.
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for evaluating cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning.
- Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and strategies for supporting students with autism.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and write clear, concise reports.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple caseloads efficiently.
