Description: Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced School-Based Psychologist to join our team in Anderson, IN. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide counseling services to students individually and in groups, addressing various mental health concerns and promoting positive coping strategies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress, discuss interventions, and make recommendations for further support.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and provide appropriate support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Indiana State License as a School Psychologist.
  • Certification by the Indiana Department of Education as a School Psychologist.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a School-Based Psychologist in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse school community and adapt to the unique needs of each student.
