School Based Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Role

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Moncks Corner, SC area. We are seeking professionals dedicated to bridging communication gaps and fostering an inclusive educational environment for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for students in both classroom and extracurricular settings.
• Translate spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) to facilitate communication.
• Assist students in understanding and participating in classroom activities.
• Work closely with educators to ensure accessible learning experiences.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards.
• Support students in developing communication and social interaction skills.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as RID or EIPA certification).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to various educational settings and student needs.
