Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a contract basis in Aurora, IL. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment, providing essential speech and language services to students. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting communication skills and academic success for all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized intervention plans.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress notes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • At least one year of recent experience working as an SLP in a school-based setting.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
