Full-Time Contract Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Position

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position in Anchorage, AK. We are openly interviewing for this school-based role and invite qualified professionals to apply. The successful candidate must meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations, including holding a master's degree in SLP or Communication Disorders and ASHA CCC's.

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred.

Job Duties: As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' speech and language needs.
  3. Providing direct speech therapy services to students with various communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
  4. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success through effective communication.
  5. Monitoring and documenting students' progress, adjusting therapy techniques as needed, and maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes.
  6. Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and providing input on students' speech and language goals and accommodations.
