School-Based Speech Therapist Job for Language and Speech Support

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team, working with school districts in the area. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide critical speech and language services to students in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication goals.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Conduct evaluations and screenings to identify speech or language delays.
  • Educate and guide students, families, and school staff on communication strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and document students' progress and therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Fingerprints required for district
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience working in a school setting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
