Location: Ontario, CA
Dates: February 12, 2024 - May 24, 2024 (with potential for renewal)
Hours: 35 hours/week
Caseload: Individual Pre-K student (specific details to be disclosed during interview)

Do you have a passion for helping young children reach their full potential? Are you excited to leverage your expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to make a positive impact in a school setting?

If so, the Ontario-Montclair School District wants YOU! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team and provide individualized support to a Pre-K student.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct a functional behavior assessment (FBA) to identify the student's unique needs and triggers.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive behavior intervention plan (BIP) based on ABA principles.
  • Provide direct behavior therapy to the student in various settings within the school environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure coordinated support.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and make adjustments to the BIP as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ABA.

What We're Looking For:

  • Master's Degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Education) preferred.
  • National Certification as a BCBA (required).
  • Experience working with young children with challenging behaviors.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to student success.
