Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) for a full-time role with school districts in the Birmingham, AL area. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional who is committed to supporting students with behavioral challenges and helping them thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to identify the root causes of student behavior and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
- Provide direct and consultative behavior analysis services to students, teachers, and support staff.
- Implement and oversee the delivery of evidence-based interventions to address challenging behaviors and teach replacement skills.
- Train and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff in the implementation of BIPs and data collection procedures.
- Monitor and analyze behavioral data to ensure the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of behavior-related goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with school administration and multidisciplinary teams to create positive and supportive learning environments for students.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- A valid certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- A Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a school setting, particularly those with autism and other developmental disabilities, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing special education and behavior support services.
