Responsibilities

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed Occupational Therapists in providing therapy services to students.
• Implementing treatment plans designed to enhance students' motor, sensory, and functional skills.
• Supporting students in developing skills for daily living, classroom participation, and play activities.
• Documenting student progress and reporting to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure consistent support for students.
• Maintaining compliance with school policies and state regulations.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:

• Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• A valid Massachusetts licensure to practice as a COTA.
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting (preferred).
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
