Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time Position

Blazer Jobs is thrilled to announce a full-time opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in collaboration with a respected school district in Kelso, WA. We are seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our team, providing essential occupational therapy services within an educational setting.

Position Overview: As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting the functional abilities and independence of students in the school district. Collaborating with educators, administrators, and parents, you will contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting assessments to identify students' sensory and motor skill development needs.
• Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans to address occupational therapy goals.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate occupational therapy goals into the academic curriculum.
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding students' progress and strategies for support.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Valid Washington state license or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience in a school setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
