School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district near Tigard, OR, to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time role. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential health services to students, ensuring their well-being and supporting a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Care: Administer medications, perform health assessments, and provide first aid or emergency care as needed.
- Health Monitoring: Assist in managing chronic health conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, etc.) and provide daily care to students with specific medical needs.
- Collaboration: Work with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support individualized care plans for students.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential health records, ensuring all student medical needs and treatments are documented.
- Health Education: Educate students and staff on health practices and wellness, promoting a safe and healthy school environment.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold a valid LPN license in Oregon. (Ensure compliance with state and district-specific requirements.)
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
