Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in partnership with the local school district, is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified School Social Worker (SW) for a full-time position during the 2024-2025 school year in Lapeer, MI. If you are passionate about supporting students' social, emotional, and academic success, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social and emotional challenges
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students' social and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address students' needs and promote positive behavior
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students and families as needed
• Advocate for students' rights and access to resources
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other student support team meetings

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• State Licensure as a Social Worker (LSW or LCSW)
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or mental health setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
