School Occupational Therapist Position Available - Monroe, NC

Job Description:

As an Occupational Therapist in the Monroe School District, you will play a vital role in helping students with disabilities overcome obstacles to participate fully in their educational experience. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' motor skills and sensory processing.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy services to students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
• Monitor and track student progress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings.
• Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of North Carolina.
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Passion for helping students succeed.
