Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the Idaho Board of Medicine
  • Completion of a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Passing scores on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to students' individual needs and goals
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy interventions as necessary
  • Educate and support families and caregivers in implementing therapeutic strategies at home and in the community
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on students' therapy needs
