Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to apply:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required).
- Certification: Paraprofessional certification (or willing to obtain it if required by the district).
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a local and state background check.
- Skills: Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff; good communication skills; patience, and a strong desire to help students succeed.
Responsibilities:
As a Paraprofessional, your duties will include:
- Assisting teachers in providing support for students in various educational activities.
- Working with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce lesson plans and support individual learning needs.
- Providing behavioral and emotional support to students as needed.
- Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Helping with the setup and preparation of classroom materials and activities.
- Monitoring students during activities, lunch, and other school events as assigned.
- Maintaining accurate records related to students' progress and behavior.
