Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Paraprofessional to join our team, working with school districts in the area. This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity to support students and teachers in the classroom and help foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with varying needs.
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral support strategies.
- Support students during classroom activities, including lessons, tests, and group work.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as recess, lunch, or field trips.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report student progress and behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning space for students.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- Must have a Para certification or willing to apply for $50.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Patience, compassion, and commitment to student success.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies is a plus.
