School Paraprofessional Needed in Maywood, IL - Contract

Job Title: Full-Time Paraeducator Position
Location: Maywood, IL

Responsibilities:

Provide support to students in various educational settings under the direction of certified teachers.
Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral plans.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials as needed.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.
Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Monitor and record student progress, as directed by the teaching team.
Assist with classroom management and behavior intervention strategies.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or an associate degree is preferred.
Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students of diverse abilities.
Willingness to participate in professional development activities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Understanding and adherence to confidentiality guidelines.
