Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paraprofessional to join our team for a full-time position in Wolsey, SD, for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The Paraprofessional will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide essential classroom support and assist in implementing individualized learning and behavior plans. The hours for this role will vary based on the school’s schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
• Assist teachers in implementing classroom activities and behavior plans
• Help maintain an organized and positive learning environment
• Support students with special needs in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student needs
• Participate in training and professional development sessions

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
