We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Blue Island, IL for the 2024-2025 School Year. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week and involves working with students from diverse backgrounds to support their academic, social, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students to identify academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • Administer standardized tests and assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and socio-emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions to support student success.
  • Provide counseling and therapeutic services to students individually or in groups to address social-emotional challenges and promote mental health and wellness.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to address academic and behavioral concerns.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school community to support students in times of need.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of evaluations, assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and legal requirements in the field of school psychology through professional development and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Illinois.
  • Experience conducting evaluations and assessments in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams.
