Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time position with a school district in the Sugar Land, TX area. We are looking for passionate professionals who are dedicated to fostering student well-being and academic success through comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
- Provide counseling and support services to students struggling with academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Develop prevention and intervention programs to promote positive behavior, mental health, and safe learning environments.
- Assist in crisis response and management, offering immediate psychological support when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports on student assessments, services, and progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Texas School Psychologist license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with diverse student populations.
- Strong understanding of behavioral, social-emotional, and learning disorders in children and adolescents.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in developing effective student interventions.
