Job Description:

As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students’ mental health and educational success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs related to academic achievement, behavior, and mental health
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students addressing emotional, behavioral, and social needs
  • Offer crisis intervention and support students through challenging situations or mental health crises
  • Conduct observations and provide recommendations to improve classroom environments and student outcomes
  • Serve as a resource to school staff on behavioral and emotional management strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other school-related meetings, advocating for students’ psychological and educational needs
  • Support the overall development of a positive school climate and culture focused on student well-being

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (required)
  • California School Psychologist Certification (required)
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist or in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse school staff, parents, and students
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students' mental health and academic success
