Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district near Gardner, KS, to hire a School Psychologist for a full-time position. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide vital psychological services, helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally within the school environment.

Position Overview:

  • Role: School Psychologist
  • Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs, including learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
  • Intervention: Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support students’ educational and emotional well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create strategies for academic success and positive behavior.
  • Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling to students, helping them manage emotional or social difficulties.
  • IEP Contribution: Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring specialized services, contributing to a holistic support strategy.
  • Crisis Intervention: Assist in crisis situations, offering immediate support and resources to students and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid School Psychologist certification in Kansas, meeting state and district requirements.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Familiarity with IEP processes and behavioral intervention strategies is essential.
