Job Title: School Psychologist

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Position Type: Full-time, Onsite

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 40 hours per week


  • Caseload responsibilities
  • Psychologist must be willing to provide therapy
  • No assessment pieces required


  • Conduct student testing, assessments, and evaluations as needed.
  • Provide therapy services to students with school-related learning, social, and emotional difficulties.
  • Participate in Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expertise to enhance student outcomes.
  • Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and relevant agencies to plan and implement therapeutic programs.
  • Offer guidance and support to parents, fostering a positive home-school relationship.
  • Stay actively involved in the IEP process and assist in the development of appropriate plans.
  • Attend staff and committee meetings, conferences, workshops, and community events to stay updated on current practices and trends in education and psychology.
  • Contribute to the development of positive mental and behavioral health services within the school.



  • Master s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology.
  • Arizona credential authorizing the performance of psychological services.


  • Previous experience providing psychological services in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of the Individual Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is preferred.

Knowledge of:

  • State and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines governing special education services.
  • Technology and computer software applications relevant to the position.

Ability to:

  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with students, school personnel, parents, co-workers, and the public.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Work independently with appropriate direction.
  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Learn and use technology and computer software applications as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate tact, patience, and courtesy when dealing with people.
  • Understand and be sensitive to individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Apply strategic and analytical thinking skills to solve problems and facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Possess a valid Arizona driver s license.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Successful experience as a school psychologist or in other areas of psychology.
  • Previous experience providing therapy services.
  • Experience working effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, organization, operations, policies, and objectives of public education and special education.
  • Visibility and involvement in education and the community.
  • Previous experience in leadership, coaching, and team-building skills to strengthen relationships.
  • Ability to use an advisory approach to resolving work-related issues.
