We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in Carson City, NV. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students within our school community. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to address the diverse needs of students and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and collaborate with stakeholders to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions to support student success.
  • Provide counseling and therapeutic services to students individually or in groups to address social-emotional challenges and promote mental health and wellness.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to contribute insights and recommendations for student support and intervention.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to address academic and behavioral concerns.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to educators and parents on topics related to child development, behavior management, and learning strategies.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school community to support students in times of need.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and legal requirements in the field of school psychology through professional development and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Nevada.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams.
