Part-Time School Physical Therapist - Hamtramck, MI

Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in partnership with a reputable school in Hamtramck, MI, is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated School Physical Therapist for the 2023-2024 academic year. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, providing essential physical therapy services to support the well-being and development of students.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support students' overall academic and functional success.
• Provide direct physical therapy services as prescribed in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans for students.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Valid Michigan state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
