Make a Difference in a Middle Schooler's Life: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Needed!

Location: Aurora, Indiana
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: May 24, 2024 (with potential for renewal)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Caseload: 1:1 support for a middle school student

Are you passionate about helping children with learning and behavioral challenges reach their full potential? Do you thrive in a collaborative school environment and enjoy providing individualized support?

If so, the ROD Special Education Cooperative is seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team! You will play a vital role in supporting a middle school student with individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed to promote their success in the classroom and beyond.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with the student's teachers, specialists, and family to develop and implement effective BIPs based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Provide direct, one-on-one therapy and support to the student in various settings, including the classroom, individual sessions, and other designated areas.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and make adjustments to the BIP as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professionals to ensure coordinated support for the student.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in ABA and participate in professional development opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Active Indiana RBT license (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and adolescents with challenging behaviors (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
