Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Speech Language Pathologists for full-time positions within school districts in the Dearborn Heights, Michigan area. We are currently conducting interviews for qualified candidates who meet all local and state requirements for this role.

Requirements:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the State of Michigan.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially in educational settings, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in relevant assessment tools and therapy techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards in practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students to improve communication skills in areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and recommendations for home-based support.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
