Make a Difference in Young Lives: School Speech-Language Pathologist at St. Clair County Schools!

Location: Asheville, AL (multiple school sites)
Dates: February 12, 2024 - May 24, 2024 (with potential for renewal)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Caseload: Primarily Pre-K, but also K-12 (services, paperwork, and testing)

If so, St. Clair County Schools wants YOU! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at multiple school sites in the Asheville area. You will play a vital role in identifying, evaluating, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students across Pre-K and K-12 grade levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address a variety of communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure coordinated support.
  • Document progress, collect data, and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Alabama State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children in a school setting (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of speech-language development and disorders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and positive demeanor with a commitment to student success.
