School Social Worker Contract in Hawthorn, IL

We are currently seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to provide temporary coverage in Hawthorn, IL. This position is to cover a temporary absence during the school term.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students' social and emotional needs during the temporary coverage period.
• Implementing interventions and strategies to support students' social and emotional well-being.
• Collaborating with educators, parents, and community resources to develop plans for student success.
• Providing counseling, guidance, and crisis intervention as needed during the temporary absence of the regular social worker.

Requirements:

• Valid School Social Worker certification in Illinois.
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with school-aged children is preferred.
• Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
