Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Social Worker for a full-time role with school districts in the Mt. Clemens, MI area. This is an exciting opportunity to support students' mental health and well-being while working in a collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Social Worker in a school setting, you will:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.
• Develop and implement intervention plans to address students' mental health needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and determine appropriate services.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students in times of need.
• Offer guidance and resources to students and families to improve social and emotional functioning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications

Educational and Certification Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Valid Michigan Social Worker License (LMSW or LLMSW).
• Compliance with all Michigan state requirements, including background checks and certifications.

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of child development, mental health issues, and social work practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and patient approach to working with students.
