School Social Worker Job Opportunity

Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Social Worker for a full-time position with school districts in the Howell, Michigan area. This role is ideal for professionals dedicated to making a positive impact on students' lives and who meet all local and state requirements. This position is a temporary assignment beginning ASAP and running until 1/17/25.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, behavioral, or social issues.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies and support plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address students' needs and improve their educational experience.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and progress.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
• Maintain confidential records and documentation of student progress and services provided.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Valid Social Worker license for Michigan.
• Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
• Familiarity with local and state educational regulations and requirements.
