Blazerworks is actively searching for a qualified School Social Worker to join a school district in Shakopee, MN for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position dedicated to supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies
- Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Support students with social-emotional learning and mental health concerns
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
- Connect families with community resources and provide ongoing support
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Minnesota School Social Worker License
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families
