School Social Worker – Shakopee, MN

Blazerworks is actively searching for a qualified School Social Worker to join a school district in Shakopee, MN for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position dedicated to supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies
  • Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution
  • Support students with social-emotional learning and mental health concerns
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
  • Connect families with community resources and provide ongoing support

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Minnesota School Social Worker License
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families
