This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential support to students and families, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, emotional, and social challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for student success.
• Assess and identify student needs, creating and implementing intervention plans as necessary.
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies to ensure access to resources and support.
• Conduct home visits as needed to engage families in supporting student growth.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
• Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution within the school environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution (required).
• Active Rhode Island Social Work License (LCSW or LICSW) (required).
• Experience working as a School Social Worker or in a related field (preferred).
• Knowledge of Rhode Island educational regulations and standards for student services.
• Must meet all local and state requirements, including:
  • Passing a comprehensive background check.
  • Current immunizations and health clearances.
