This position is part-time and aligned with the academic calendar for the 2023-2024 school year.
Responsibilities: As a School Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support to students, families, and staff members. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral concerns among students.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention strategies.
- Providing individual and group counseling to students.
- Offering advisory support and guidance to students facing challenges.
- Participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed.
- Collaborating with community resources to enhance support services for students.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential student records.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work.
- Kansas State Board of Education certification as a School Social Worker.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
