School Social Worker Position Now Available

School Social Worker (Full-Time) in Blue Island, IL

Blazerworks, in partnership with the Blue Island School District, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team. Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive social work services to students in the Blue Island School District.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' emotional, behavioral, and social needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement intervention plans for students experiencing academic or personal challenges.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' social and emotional needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students facing emergency situations.
• Collaborate with community resources and agencies to provide additional support to students and families.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding social and emotional goals and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
• State licensure as a School Social Worker in Illinois (LCSW or LSW).
• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Knowledge of social and emotional development, crisis intervention techniques, and community resources.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills.
