Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our team. In this full-time, onsite role, you will provide critical support to K-12 students, helping them address emotional, social, and academic challenges. You will work closely with students, families, and school staff to ensure a healthy and productive learning environment that promotes student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to students, including counseling and crisis intervention.
- Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments to identify student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized support plans.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of student goals.
- Address student attendance, discipline, and behavioral concerns in collaboration with school staff.
- Refer students and families to appropriate community resources when necessary.
- Promote a positive school climate by implementing social-emotional learning strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
- Valid State School Social Worker license.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a multidisciplinary team.
