School Social Worker Wanted for a district in De Soto, KS

Blazerjobs, in partnership with the DeSoto School District, is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Social Worker to join our team. This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students while providing essential professional support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling services to students individually or in groups to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create and implement intervention strategies.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' social and emotional needs and develop appropriate plans.
• Advocate for students and assist in connecting them with community resources and support services.
• Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Social Worker in the state of Kansas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals.
