Job Title: School Social Worker - Full-Time Position

Blazer Jobs is excited to partner with a progressive school district in De Soto, KS, to announce a full-time opening for a School Social Worker for the 2023-2024 school year. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to join our team, playing a vital role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of students.

Position Overview: As a School Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Your role is critical in creating a positive and supportive school environment that fosters academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify social and emotional needs of students.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement strategies for students' success.
• Advocate for the needs of students and families.
• Assist in the development and implementation of programs to promote a positive school culture.
• Collaborate with community resources to support the well-being of students.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Valid licensure as a School Social Worker in the state of Kansas.
• Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
