We are seeking a dedicated Short-Term Social Worker to join our team in New Haven, CT. This position involves providing social work support to students during two separate periods: May 28th to June 21st, 2024, and late August through September 18th, 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience working in schools and a passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students.
  • Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans.
  • Implement strategies to support students' social and emotional growth.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
  • Participate in team meetings and consultations with staff and parents.

Requirements:

  • Master s degree in social work, school counseling, or school psychology.
  • LCSW preferred; Candidates must be licensed (LSW).
  • Previous experience working in schools preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work during the specified periods.
