Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Monroe, MI

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Monroe, MI area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to students.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Possess an active Michigan SLP license issued by the Michigan Board of Speech-Language Pathology
  • Obtain a Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Certification for school-based SLPs
  • Hold an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (preferred but not required)
  • Have previous experience working as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting
  • Meet all local and state requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and district-specific clearances

Responsibilities

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, key responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address speech and language needs
  • Providing direct therapy services in individual and group settings
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
  • Maintaining detailed records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
  • Participating in IEP meetings and advocating for students' speech and language development
