Responsibilities

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students in group and individual settings.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Collaborating with school staff to create inclusive classroom environments.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to remain up-to-date with best practices.

Requirements

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

  • A valid Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
  • Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
