Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position with school districts in the North Kansas City, MO area. We are seeking an experienced and passionate SLP to provide high-quality speech and language services to students and support their academic and social success.

Position: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: North Kansas City, MO
Type: Full-time, Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement therapy goals tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify students in need of speech and language services.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students in both group and one-on-one settings.
  • Educate students and staff on strategies to enhance communication and language development.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Missouri SLP License.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations.
