Soliant, in collaboration with reputable educational institutions in Denton, TX, is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As an essential member of the speech and language therapy team, you will provide valuable support and assistance to licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality services to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in conducting screenings and evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP, targeting students' specific communication goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, focusing on improving speech articulation, language comprehension, and social communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' progress and integration of therapy goals into the classroom environment.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of student progress, session notes, and therapy materials.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Texas license or eligibility for Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience working as an SLPA in a school or clinical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
