State Requirements for Speech-Language Pathologists in North Carolina:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists licensure required.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) certification preferred.

Job Description:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students with diverse needs.
  • Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with educators and parents to support student progress.
  • Develop and implement IEPs based on student needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress.
