Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time, short-term position with school districts in the Burlington, MA area. This role is to cover a maternity leave during the Fall 2025 semester, with tentative dates from July through October 2025, excluding the month of August.

This is a great opportunity for professionals with school-based experience who enjoy working with students in both elementary and middle school settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and functional needs

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Provide direct therapy services and consultation in classroom and pull-out settings

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success

  • Document services and student progress in accordance with district and legal standards

  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal development and accommodations

Requirements:

Applicants must meet all Massachusetts state and local requirements, including:

  • Valid Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license

  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s or Master’s level)

  • Ability to pass background checks and meet district onboarding requirements

  • Prior school-based experience preferred
