Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist for a full-time role with a school district in the Mokena, IL area for the 2025–2026 school year. This position serves students from Preschool through 3rd grade, with a strong focus on evaluations and therapeutic interventions.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with students with Autism, knowledge of sensory diets, and familiarity with high-needs populations. Experience in a therapeutic day school setting is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for students to assess motor, sensory, and functional skills

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Deliver direct OT services in individual and group formats

  • Create and monitor sensory diets and provide consultation to support student regulation

  • Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families

  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings

  • Support functional independence and academic access through adaptive strategies and interventions

Requirements:

All applicants must meet local and state requirements, including:

  • Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s or Master’s level)

  • Ability to pass background check and meet district onboarding requirements

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred
