Full-Time School Physical Therapist (PT) Needed

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapists for a full-time role with school districts in the Danbury, CT area for the 2025–2026 school year. This position will serve students in an elementary school setting, helping to support their physical development, mobility, and access to the educational environment.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work as part of a collaborative special education team and make a meaningful impact on student growth and independence. Renewal for the following school year may be available based on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to assess students' gross motor function, mobility, and physical development needs

• Develop individualized therapy plans based on evaluation findings and student goals

• Provide direct physical therapy services in classroom and therapy settings

• Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy as needed

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success

• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the development of student goals and accommodations

• Recommend and support use of adaptive equipment and mobility aids when appropriate

Requirements:

Applicants must meet all Connecticut state and district requirements, including:

• Active Connecticut Physical Therapist license issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Doctorate or equivalent)

• Certification in CPR/First Aid if required by the district

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint clearance

• School-based or pediatric experience is strongly preferred
