Blazer Jobs is looking for a compassionate and experienced Elementary School Psychologist to serve Danbury schools for the 2025-2026 school year. This role focuses on delivering psychological services to support young learners’ educational and emotional development within the elementary school environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Administer psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs
Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to design and implement effective IEPs and behavior intervention plans
Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and mental health support for elementary students
Participate actively in school-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate and student well-being
Ensure compliance with Connecticut State Department of Education regulations and IDEA requirements
Required Education & Licenses:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
Connecticut Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist (Initial or Professional)
Completion of a supervised internship or practicum in school psychology
At least one (1) year of professional experience as a school psychologist
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Connecticut special education laws and best practices
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Experience in elementary school settings preferred
