School Psychologist in Elementary School

Blazer Jobs is looking for a compassionate and experienced Elementary School Psychologist to serve Danbury schools for the 2025-2026 school year. This role focuses on delivering psychological services to support young learners’ educational and emotional development within the elementary school environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs

• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to design and implement effective IEPs and behavior intervention plans

• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and mental health support for elementary students

• Participate actively in school-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate and student well-being

• Ensure compliance with Connecticut State Department of Education regulations and IDEA requirements

Required Education & Licenses:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution

• Connecticut Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist (Initial or Professional)

• Completion of a supervised internship or practicum in school psychology

• At least one (1) year of professional experience as a school psychologist

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Connecticut special education laws and best practices

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in elementary school settings preferred
